  A very cool little museum off the beaten path. Inexpensive. A very pleasant afternoon. 20 minute train ride with lots of old rail cars and small exhibits.

  A bit far from Red Deer but worth the drive. If you like museums and places like Heritage Park, then you will enjoy this place. Our kids (4-11) mostly just liked the train ride which was $4 ea so easy on the wallet :)

  Not much is here, the train is impressive but you don't get to really see the engine, only sit in a passenger car for 15 minutes

  The two staff members we met were very rude to us. We showed up at 2:40, 10 minutes after the last train was supposed to leave and Doreen was so mad about us asking if they could still give us a ride. We were the only people there, so the 2:30 train didn't even run. You'd think that they would be thrilled to have paying customers even if we were 10 minutes late, as opposed to no customers. Also, the train conductor yelled at us for going in an apparently off limits area of the train, said it was against the rules. We never did find anywhere that these rules were posted. How are we to know the rules that aren't written anywhere? We all wished we hadn't gone and wasted all that much money on touring a place with such grumpy staff. If they had been nice, it would've been a nice visit.
