This is a great little place to go for a walk. It's frequented by many locals, away from the city core and has many amenities to make for a pleasant visit. It is kept fairly clean by city staff and is beautifully laid out. Staff and volunteers put up and maintain bird feeders and houses, which keeps wildlife abundant. Many dog owners take their animals for walks here, which sometimes results in off-leash confrontations and failure to remove droppings - this is not the fault of the park and staff, but of the animal owners. There is an off-leash park right next to it, which can be accessed either by walking through BTLP or driving up to. It's one of my favorite places to go for some fresh air, nice scenery and taking photos. It is also a common nesting ground for geese and other wildlife.

One of my favorite places to go. Absolutely amazing. Walking the trail, watching the wildlife in the lake. A destination taken every year with a picnic in hand.
