Severely mentally ill clerk does not know his own store hours. Tells me to come back at 3:30. The store closes at 3:00. What a load of crap. I pulled a tendon on my foot and wanted to upgrade to a better bike(my current one keeps tearing the valve stems and goes flat) so i can ride to and from Red Deer College form my room. I did not want to risk another whole week of walking on it and really wanted to ride. Could not even buy a helmet for the Gimp behind the counter. Now I'm stuck either Walmart, Crappy tire. Or walking on my injured foot for another 5-10km on Monday, or paying a premium for parking

I guess I'll take my $300 to Red Deer instead because I'm not for driving up the QE2 at 250km/h to get to Reeds Cycle during the week!

Now I'm all for keeping the mentally ill employed, But if he can't run the store by himself why the hell do you take of the whole afternoon off!!!!!

My first and last experience. I tried calling to find out if I could bring my mountain bike in for service. No one answered the phone so I spent my lunch hour getting there. This was on a Monday. I asked if I could drop it off on Tuesday to have the fork seals replaced and if they had the seals in stock. I was told that they have most seals in stock and if they didn't, they could be shipped overnight. I asked if I could pick it up on the Friday and was told that shouldn't be a problem. I asked if they closed at lunch and was told that they don't. Next day, Tuesday, I use my lunch hour again to drop off the bike. They were closed for lunch after specifically saying they didn't. Took time off later in the day to drop off the bike and again confirmed that I could pick up on Friday. Fast forward to Friday. Haven't received a call saying it was done so I call. Several times. No one answers the phone. I go there and the bike hasn't moved from where I dropped it off. I'm told the seal wouldn't be there until Monday. When I said they had told me they could get them overnight, they had no explanation. When I asked why I hadn't been called to be informed of the delay, they had no answer. I said fine, change the seals on Monday and I'll pick it up in the afternoon. Monday, it's now been a week for a job that would take "a couple of days". I call to confirm that the bike is ready. You guessed it, no one answers the phone. I go down there only to be told that the seal will now not be in until Tuesday but that I can pick it up on Wednesday. On Wednesday I call to confirm and once again, no one answers the phone. I go down there and the bike has actually moved from one side of the aisle to the other. Yay, I I think the bike is actually done. No, I get told, Sorry but we can't change these seals. There's a special tool made specifically for this brand of fork that I don't have. Again, I asked why I didn't get a phone call to let me know. Said he didn't know until he opened the box with the seals and the tool wasn't there. To me, that means he knew on Tuesday when the seals arrived but didn't bother calling. I told him how disappointed I was in his service and reviewed my experience with him. Was basically told that things happen, too bad. Take the bike and the seals home only to find that they've messed up the settings on the forks as well. The only recommendation I'd make about this place is to stay far away from it!
